We're Having A Boy!!!
How God Made Little Boys
Author: Unknown
He took some jam and some apple pies.
He mixed in freckles, put twinkles in the eyes.
He mussed up the hair and scuffed the knees.
Created a desire for climbing trees.
Spirit, fun, courage heart...
The need to explore.
He added these items and so much more.
When he was done, He rested with joy.
For there before Him.
Was the wonder of a boy.

God made the world out of His dreams
Of magic mountains, oceans and streams,
Prairies and plans and wooded land,
Then paused and thought "I need someone to stand
On top of mountains, to conquer the seas,
Explore the plains and climb the trees.
Someone to start out small and to grow,
Sturdy, strong as a tree…" And so,
He created boys, full of spirit and fun,
To explore and conquer, to romp and run.
With dirty faces and banged up chins,
With courageous hearts and boyish grins.
When He had completed the task He'd begun
He surely said "A job well done".

Yes, We Are Alive!!!
We have had a busy month with moving to a bigger apartment, my parents visiting, and just normal everyday life. My computer still doesn't have the internet hooked up since we have moved, so I really haven't had a chance to blog. Hopefully I can start posting some more stuff soon. I just wanted to post a few pictures from my parents visit.

We visited the Abraham Lincoln Museum in Springfield, along with a few other historical sights in the area.

I hope we didn't scare off my parents, and that they will come back to visit again. We did some fun things while they were here, but we also put them to work. My dad helped weed, till and plant our garden. He also helped Quinn paint the living room, along with doing other various projects around our house. Hopefully next time they visit we won't have just moved to a new apartment, but it was nice to have some help, we really appreciated it.
Clarissa had a fun time with Bapa and Bapa (grandma and grandpa). She loved wearing Grandma's sunglasses, having books read to her, going for walks, playing on the playground, getting lots and lots of smarties and other treats, and receiving and giving away plenty of hugs and kisses. We sure had a fun time with them, and are sad that we don't live closer.
