Dear Bloggers,

As I sit here right now there are 125 unread blog posts in my google reader. This is despite a consistent effort over the past week to catch up on what you are all doing. Not to mention that only about 60% of my friends blogs even forward to my google reader. As such, I regret to inform you that I am officially giving up. Please don't take offense. I would like so much to keep up on all of your lives. Unfortunately, you are all way to busy and have way too interesting lives. I do promise to occasionally check in and see what's going on in your life, but please don't be surprised if in talking with me at some point in the future you realize that I am totally ignorant to some major life event that was diligently chronicled on your blog such as the birth of a child, graduating from school, or moving to a new location. This is not to say that I am not interested in the day to day of your life. I would be very grateful for a visit, phone call or an email periodically, but until then, best wishes and fond memories, until we meet again.

Sincerely,

Quinn

P.S. Tiffany will likely still be checking your blog regularly, so maybe I will know some important things if she tells them to me.

Clarissa the Song Writer

Each Sunday evening we try to have some family music time. It is a great excuse for me to pull out the guitar and teach my kids about music and some of the fun songs I grew up singing with my family. Tonight at the end of music time, Clarissa insisted that we sing one more song. When I asked her what song she wanted to sing, she said she wanted to sing "Tubin Tubin Torvin". Since I don't know this song, I asked her how it went. Together we put this little jingle together. It is sure to skyrocket up the charts.

Early Mornings with Clayton

Clayton has now decided that the day starts at 5:45 AM, every morning. Luckily he will still take two good naps during the day. (I'm a little sleep right now, but still thought this would be a good time to work on a blog post. Quinn and Clarissa are still sleeping, and Clayton is just roaming around playing. Hopefully this will help the morning pass quickly.)

This picture was from a couple of weeks ago. It was taken during a very rough week of this little man's life. He was sick with a fever and runny/stuffy nose for about a week, and then a few days into that I discovered he was cutting all FOUR molars, and to top it off, he got a hold of a cashew, and seemed to have an allergic reaction. He didn't eat it, I just think the oils on his hand irritated his skin and made his eye puff up. On the bright side, he was very cuddly that week, all he wanted to do was be held, so it was fun to hold him a lot and comfort him.

A little update about what he is doing at this time: Clayton is now 15 months old. He's not walking yet, but will stand and walk around everything. He always has to be holding on to something or someone. Maybe one of these days he will decide to walk, but for now, he is trying to perfect climbing. If our stool is next to anything, he's right there climbing onto it and trying to get onto everything. He will give kisses when asked, although he comes at you with an open mouth, but he at least understands a little bit about what a kiss is. He's learning the actions to the primary song "The Wise Man Built His House Upon a Rock" and it's really fun to watch him get excited about it. He loves to play with Clarissa, and is very excited in the mornings when she finally wakes up to play with him.
